Nissan Juke priced up

Nissan Juke priced up

When the second-generation Nissan Juke goes on sale in Ireland, it will be available with a choice of five specification grades, including a new N-Design version. The range starts at €21,995 for the XE model and lists items like cruise control, speed limiter, traffic sign recognition and hill start assist among the standard items. LED daytime running lights and LED rear lamps are joined by 16-inch steel wheels and a 4.2-inch colour TFT screen, along with Nissan's Active Trace Control and Active Ride Control systems.

Moving up to the SV specification brings 17-inch alloy wheels and upgrades the infotainment system to an eight-inch display, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That also facilitates a rear-view camera system, and there is a voice recognition function. From this point, buyers can optionally choose to add automatic wipers, automatic air conditioning, heated front seats and heated door mirrors that electrically fold in.

The Nissan Juke's SV Premium grade adds some exterior upgrades such as rear privacy glass and LED front fog lamps. Automatic air conditioning and automatic folding and heated door mirrors are also standard features. Rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, a leather steering wheel and gear selector, a seven-inch colour TFT display for the instrument cluster and an electric parking brake join the mix, along with NissanConnect online services. It is from this point that buyers can choose to add the two-tone roof colour scheme and upgrade to a Technology Pack. That groups together the 360-degree camera system and the ProPilot driver assistance feature, which includes lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert.

At the top of the Nissan Juke range are two distinct specs, the first of which is the SVE grade. This version adds 19-inch alloy wheels, ProPilot and satellite navigation, plus fabric and synthetic leather heated seats. All of the elements from the Technology Pack offered optionally on the SV Premium model become standard fit here.

If style is more your thing, then the new N-Design specification makes many of the exterior design elements standard fare. These include 19-inch alloy wheels, the two-tone roof colour scheme and painted door mirrors, while inside there are heated seats. Optionally, buyers can choose to add more interior personalisation and a navigation services feature. The Technology Pack from the SV Premium is available, as is a Bose Pack that upgrades the stereo system to an eight-speaker setup.

Only one engine - a one-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol unit - will be available in the Nissan Juke, though there will be a choice between six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearboxes. The latter will carry a €1,500 price premium.
